Heritage Sandy Springs Museum and Park celebrates 23 years of free concerts held one Sunday evening each month, May through September. Concerts by the Springs is a tradition that brings music and community to Sandy Springs. Concerts are held from 7:00 – 8:30 p.m. on the Sandy Springs Society Entertainment Lawn located at Heritage Sandy Springs Museum and Park at 6110 Blue Stone Road in Sandy Springs.
The 2019 season of Heritage Sandy Springs Museum and Park Concert performances offers something for all ages. Up next and closing out the 2019 Concerts by the Springs series, on September 8, is Band X, playing hits from the 70’s, 80’s, 90’s and current favorites. Band X is a high-energy group of musicians and lead singers. With major touring experience, these musicians and dancers have shared the stage with some of the biggest attractions in music including Rick Springfield, Paul Rogers (Bad Company), Mickey Thomas (Starship), Mike Reno (Loverboy), Robin Zander (Cheap Trick), Ed Roland (Collective Soul), and many more.
“No two shows from Band X are ever alike, and audience participation is a must,” says David Cole, lead singer for Band X. “We want the audience having the time of their lives. Each of our performance is tailored to suit the event, and we jam to today’s current dance music with party rock, classic rock, R& B, jazz, pop and traditional favorites – and we do it with style.”
Singing the National Anthem for the September 8 concert will be Cristina Quinones. “CRISTNA,” is an Atlanta native, born from Mexican-Puerto Rican parents. Inspired by her Hispanic-American roots, CRISTNA has been singing to audiences nationally since age 12, appearing on a BET event and recipient of the Georgia Music Hall of Fame’s Horizon’s Award.
CRISTNA continues to perform at events and appearances including the La Voz (panel Judge) Phillips Arena (State Farm Arena), Georgia Dome, A3C, FOX, BMI, Miss US Latina Pageant, Univison, Telemundo, and NASCAR . CRISTNA has appeared in JEZEBEL Magazine, Seventeen Espanol, Rollingout Magazine, Mundo Hispanico newspaper, Atlanta Business Chronicle, and more.
