All the Spring Breaks are finally over, time to put the Easter baskets away and it is on to proms, BBQ’s and then the pool!  I spent my time during Snowjam and Snowmegeden thinking warm thoughts by testing out all the spring nail colors for you and searching style trends!

As far as clothing trends go, one major theme I have seen in the magazines is Black and White.  It is always been around and never really went away, but it is making a real presence this spring and summer.  It is also something we all already have in our closets, which is always nice, and it coordinates well with all the nail colors below.

I usually like a lot of color but I also tried out lots of neutrals.  My favorite spring color is actually a neutral, which surprised me.  So after trying lots of different nail colors here is what I have found:

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA“Don’t Bossa Nova Me Around” by OPI – Love this color, it is neutral and very current all at the same time.  It is for the Hip 2014 Gal who has always loved the classic Essie “Ballet Slippers.”

 

 

collection-shade_truth-of-flare“Truth or Flare” by Essie – I am calling this a neutral, but it is really blue.  It is so soft and relaxed that it goes with everything.  It is perfect for the office or at a spring party.  I kept thinking I needed to take it off for a more buttoned up nighttime affair, but I found that went just as perfectly with a tailored look as it did with a relaxed, everyday look.

 

Chanel-Coup-de-Coeur-609-Le-Vernis-swatch“Coup De Cloeur” by Chanel – This is a “Summer Berry”  It is hard to find a berry for spring and summer that is light and not too deep like a fall or winter berry.  This fits the bill for a nice berry to go with your spring outfits.

 

 

20140129_220507wm“Amazon Amazoff” by OPI – This a great deep teal green that is fun and exotic at the same time.  I think it would look great with black, white, red or yellow!  It is a great pedi color for the pool.

 

 

These are all new; I’ve seen them locally at Walgreens, CVS, Kroger, Nordstrom (for Chanel) and ULTA.

sandals(3)After you get your spring pedi, pick up some gladiator sandals for spring.  There a several different styles and colors out there, and you have to choose which ones you like best!

 

Okay, warm weather is finally here to stay, Hooray.  Now, go shopping and get your nails done!
